Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Leavitt Center?
The Leavitt Center is Pocatello's Premiere center for the arts. We offer a wide variety of fine arts classes ranging from Theater, Dance, Music, and Art. Our mission is to bring the arts to the community and empower children, teens, and adults to find their voice in their art and better improve their quality of life and those around them.
What is our billing policy?
The Leavitt Center requires full payment up-front for the registered semester. We know that sometimes paying in-full is hard to do, so we offer monthly payment plans for those who would prefer that. Monthly payments require an additional $2.50 monthly processing fee. We do not offer month-to-month classes.
Is there any benefit to paying in full?
Yes! When paying in full you can avoid the additional monthly processing fee of $2.50. We will waive the fee on all up-front payments.
What are the registration and supply fees?
The registration fee is a one-time per semester fee that is payed out to the Leavitt Center for each student who registers. We do offer an Early Bird Special each semester in advance which waives the registration fee.
The supply fee is a fee set by each instructor to provide materials or supplies for the class they are offering. It directly benefits the students and their experience.
What are our hours?
Our class time hours are specified by each instructor. Typically class time hours are from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., with some class starting earlier and ending later. Holiday hours also depend on the instructor. Please contact your instructor about class time details or refer to our "Classes" page.
Our office hours are currently 3:00 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. every Monday and Wednesday or by appointment.
What is our enrollment policy?
At the time of enrollment the student will be enrolled for the entire duration of each class semester or year (whichever applies) and agrees to pay all tuition and fees associated with the class. Student also agree to attend all scheduled practices, rehearsals, stage days, performances and any extra practices that are assigned by the instructor. In addition you are responsible for all payments associated with the class even if the student drops out. You can try the class one time after enrolling at no cost to make sure you are comfortable with the teacher and curriculum. All special circumstances require review from the board of directors.
